Carolyn Anne Marie Lori (nee Sherman), of Deep River, died suddenly July 31, 2017 in a motor vehicle accident in Denbigh, Ontario at age 70. Carolyn was born August 28, 1946 in Belleville and resided in Napanee, Deseronto and Deep River, Ontario. Beloved wife of John Lori. Dear mother of Lisa Tarantino (Salvatore) of Oakville and Gina Lori (Charles Lefebvre) of Nepean. Cherished daughter of the late Mary Matilda and Mervin Sherman of Napanee. Grandmother of Kassey and Nicholas Leach, Adrian, Alessia and Nathan Tarantino. Sister of Robert Sherman (Joanne) and Michael Sherman (Karen), both of Napanee. Sister-in-law of Robert Lori (Diana) of St. Catharines, Mary Jean Joys (Chris) of Toronto, Lorenzo Lori (Otilia) of Mississauga. Carolyn grew up in the Napanee/Deseronto area. She had many fond memories of days at the cottage, boating and waterskiing. After college, Carolyn moved to Deep River for her teaching career. She enjoyed an active lifestyle and was involved in every sport imaginable: curling, water skiing, squash, golf and cross-country skiing, to name a few. She was an avid reader and volunteer within her church, library and school. Carolyn spent countless hours on her lifelong passion of tracing her family tree and organizing generations of family photos. She was a history buff and travel enthusiast. She loved touring Europe with friends and scrapbooking travel memories. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always had a good laugh over a pun or two. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) on Sunday, August 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, 179 West Street, Napanee on Monday, August 7th at 11am. Interment St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Deseronto. Memorial donations (by cheque please) made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
