James (Bud) Franklin Hawley, age 85, of South Shore Hay Bay passed away at home on November 6th, 2019. He was surrounded by family as he entered into the Lord’s presence. He was born January 1, 1934 in Kingston, Ontario, to the late Percy and Doris Hawley. Bud celebrated a full life as a husband, father and grandfather. He was retired from private business and farming. He enjoyed the great outdoors and spent endless hours on his farm working and admiring the waterfront view from his home. He was active in his church, St. Paul’s Anglican Church at Sandhurst and celebrated many years of membership as a mason. He was the beloved husband of Margaret L. Hawley (nee Sandford) of 61 years, father of three children, Teresa L. Hawley of Napanee, Frank Hawley and his wife Shelley of Kingston, Sylvia J. Hawley and her husband Jeff of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and grandfather of five grandchildren, Christopher Desrosiers of Pennsylvania, Brandon Desrosiers of North Carolina, Jordan Desrosiers of Pennsylvania, and Megan and Nathan Hawley of Kingston. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) on Friday, November 8 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 9th, at 11:00 a.m. Those desiring may make memorial contributions (by cheque please) to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Sandhurst or a charity of their choice.
