It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of a gentle soul. Angela Mary May Bodzasy (Vincent) passed softly and sweetly on March 25th surrounded by loved ones in her home due to a diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer in June 2020. Like she lived her life, she left this world on her own terms. Predeceased by her Mother Darlene and Father Elwood Vincent. She is survived by the love of her life David, her biological Mother Diane (Gerry) and Father Tom (Debbie), her siblings Tony (Lori), Jeff (Yvette), Jen (Josh), Kevin (Alyssa), Justin (Kelsy), Cera Jade, and Jordan. She will be missed dearly by her children Jade (Chris), Zoe (Mat), Jacob, Shawn, Cassidy, Chloe, and so many more that she influenced throughout her lifetime. She is treasured by her Grandchildren, Amelia, Rhea, and Logan. And of course the huge amount of extended family members. You know who you are and she loved you all ☺Everyone that was a part of Angela’s life contributed to the elements which helped create the incredible person that she had become. She was grateful for each and every relationship. Born in Ajax, was the start of an extraordinary life belonging to Angela. She was adopted into the loving home of her parents and raised in Yarker. Her childhood instilled a strong connection to nature and all the wonderful childhood memories that small town Ontario offers. At 13 Angela didn’t know it but when she kissed David for the first time at the Riverside park in Colebrooke she had found the love of her life. She would start a life together with David after becoming high school sweethearts and then jumping into building a family with both feet, never looking back. She had a brilliant mind and it was evident as she was an honor student in high school and often sought after by others for advice and wisdom even at a young age. Angela knew she had a passion for helping others. She very quickly discovered, as an adoptee, that becoming a Foster and Adoptive parent was her calling. Fuelled by nothing but love and support she was a force to be reckoned with when it came to any and all of her children. She was a master at creating a calming and powerful environment to allow the children in her life to become the best version of themselves. She would beam with pride at all her children’s strengths, talents, and ingenuity. Her passion for Foster Care would grow into not only helping to raise children, but to support the families they came from and future parents who were navigating the first steps into becoming Foster and Adoptive parents themselves. She was able to live out her passion and change the lives of 21 children, including 3 biological and 3 Fostered and Adopted.
Angela had a long loving marriage of 31 years and was a woman of remarkable substance and class. The life she and David built was beyond beautiful and she will be missed immensely by all.
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
~ Dumbledore (J.K. Rowling)
Angela always talked about how when she passed she would like her life to be celebrated at the Bodzasy family farm. Angela’s family and friends will be honouring this in the coming warmer months. You will be able to find updates about this celebration on her Go Fund Me page and through close family’s social media. In lieu of Flowers, Angel’s family asks that you make a donation to Almost Home in Kingston
