On the evening of March 21, 2020, Frank Henry Hartin passed away peacefully at Trillium Long Term Care, Kingston, in his 92nd year. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 69 years, Natalie Lola (nee Holmes) Hartin; son Frank Jr. (Barb Foster), and his grandchildren Becky, Brad and Cale. Frank was predeceased by his eldest son Tony (Elaine) and brother-in-law Tony Holmes. Born on May 15, 1928 in Marlbank, Frank is pre-deceased by his parents, Lena Pearl Palmer (nee Young) and William Walter Palmer. Frank spent most of his life in Napanee raising his family. During Frank’s life, he was involved in minor hockey, first as a referee, then as the President of Minor Hockey in Napanee. As an avid golfer, he passed his love of the sport on to his sons. He even worked at Cataraqui Golf course in his retirement years. His love of the water brought him and Natalie to purchase and renovate a cottage at Hambly Lake. Many fun family times were spent at Hambly with their kids and grandkids. Dad, enjoy your beer with Tony. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Trillium Long Term Care for their support during Frank’s battle with Alzheimer’s. For those desiring to do so, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society. A Service and Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held once public gatherings can be re-established. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home in Napanee, 123 Dundas St. W. Napanee, ON K7R 1Z9.
