James Beattie

Passed away peacefully, and with his family by his side at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. James Charles Beattie of Erinsville at age 68. Beloved husband and best friend of Cheryl “Sherry” Beattie (nee Alkenbrack). Dear father of James of Napanee, Joshua of Tamworth and Megan of Napanee. Grandfather to Kayleigh, Sarah, Ben, Garrett and Logan. Brother of Ann Chiddle (late Jim) of Napanee, brother-in-law of Tim Alkenbrack (Mary-Ann) and Scott Alkenbrack (Laurie) of Calgary. Predeceased by his parents Bob Beattie and Dorothy (Lyman). Jim was well known as a community builder, interested in history, an enthusiastic educator and served for many years on the fire department. The family will receive friends at the Hannah Funeral Home, in Tamworth on Saturday, October 7 from 9:30 a.m., followed by Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Tamworth Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Tamworth Cemetery, Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation, University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) or Ontario SPCA Lennox and Addington Branch would be appreciated by the family.
