June Lyman

August 29, 1933 ~ June 15, 2022 (age 88)

Obituary

On June 15, 2022, June Marie Lyman (née Coughlin) passed away peacefully at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston at 88, surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her late husband and soul mate, Robert Lyman. Her children will greatly miss her, Greg (Debbie), Bonnie (Glen), Rick (Nancy), Maurita (Kelly), Joel (Bev), Janita (David), and Ted (Gerri), her 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sisters Marlene (late Gene Dewey) and Lita (late Bob Cassidy); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; friends, and fellow volunteers. To her core, June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (gramma, grams, nana) great-grandmother (with the white hair) and friend to many. Her caring nature extended to all who knew her. Her door was always open for anyone who wanted a “visit,” a meal, or to talk about the latest Leaf’s game. She had a beautiful smile that would command a room, and a quick witty sense of humour. One of June’s last statements was, “I may not be amazing, but I am amusing.” For years she worked as a nurse’s aide and a spiritual care volunteer at St. Mary’s of the Lake and Kingston General Hospital. Beyond that, she was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church as a sacristan and Eucharistic minister and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for almost 70 years. June had unwavering faith and devotion to Ste. Anne. We wish to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Providence Care Hospital, Parkside 1 for their compassionate care. The family will receive family and friends for visitation at Hannah Funeral Home, in Tamworth, on Monday, June 20th, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption, Erinsville, on Tuesday, June 21st at 11 am. You can listen to the mass by FM radio (within the parking lot of the church) at 89.3 FM. The funeral mass will be live streamed on the church Face book page at www.facebook.com/stephane.pouliot.581 and therefore can be viewed on your personal device anywhere. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Erinsville. In lieu of flowers, donations to UHKF- Patient Comfort and Care Fund or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church would be appreciated.
