Martha Winnifred "Wyn" (Watson) Harvey

Peacefully at The John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Martha Winnifred “Wyn” Harvey of Napanee at age 85. Loved wife and best friend of William Harvey. Cherished mother of Allan (Susan) of Kitchener; Lori Arnold (Gary) of Selby; and Todd (Ruth) of Napanee. Adored Nana of Alika Boyd (Cass) of Napanee; Kiela Arnold (Jared Mitchell) of Guelph; Benjamin (Irene), Baden, and Brianna MacLeod (Jeff) of Acton; Alannah Harvey (Brandon Hamilton) of Kitchener; Kate Harvey (Andrew Daisley) of Lake Louise, Alberta; Joseph of Toronto; and Isaac of Napanee. Great-grandmother of Harrison, Avamarie, Sophia, Viola and Sawyer. Predeceased by her parents Evelyn and William Watson, her sister Marilyn Young, brothers Roy and Edward, and her granddaughter Ellen Harvey. Wyn moved from Toronto to the Deseronto/Napanee area when she was eleven years old. Her work career began in Belleville as Bell Telephone operator. She was also a switchboard receptionist at Napanee Industries. In later years, Wyn was a friendly, familiar face at Lipson’s Clothing store in Napanee. Wyn loved music, gardening and shopping for a good bargain. She especially loved her world travels with Bill visiting many European cities, Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands, Venezuela, New Zealand and a favourite, Malaga, Spain where they enjoyed several vacations. Wyn’s family would like to thanks the staff of Lilac Knoll and Orchard Trail at The John M. Parrott Centre for their kindness and gentle care, and Dr. Liz Touzel’s care of Wyn through the years. An interment will occur at a later date. Donations in memory of Wyn made to the Humane Society – Napanee Branch would be appreciated by the family. In the care of Hannah Funeral Home in Napanee.
