Royce Martin

(Retired from Celanese Canada after 34 years)

Royce passed peacefully, with family by his side at The John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee on Saturday November 5, 2022 at the age of 79.  He was predeceased by his parents Zara Martin and Berna Martin.  Husband of Faye Martin (Keech) and dear father to Kim Martin (Rob) of Napanee; Michelle Byron (Jeff) of Elginburg and Elizabeth Martin-Shane (Mike) of Richmond, On.  Loving Grandfather to Jennifer, Jessica, Jamie Lynn, Kayla, Brett, Trinity and Avery.  Great Grandfather to Keyshia, Ronin, Theo and  Zoey.  Great great Grandfather to Reighlynn.   He will be sadly missed by his entire family & friends. Royce was born in Buffalo, NY and at a young age his family moved to Colebrook ON.  There he met the love of his life Faye and they spent nearly 58 years building their dreams and family together.  Royce enjoyed hunting, fishing and exploring the out of doors as well as tinkering in his wood working shop.   After retirement they travelled across Canada and the States and enjoyed many music festivals with friends. Royce was someone who appreciated life and loved deeply.  He especially enjoyed treasured moments with his family.  The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff at Orchard Trail for all the extra care he received during his last few weeks and the kindness shown to the family.  A Celebration of his life will be held at Hannah Funeral Home in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 - 3:00. Family and Friends are invited to come and share fond memories and stories.   The family asks Memorial Donations be made to Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters or Ontario Alzheimer’s Society.   

Royce will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
