Peacefully at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospice in Ottawa, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Vada “ Sam” Pearl Souliere (nee Armstrong), in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband, Gerald Souliere, and daughters Debbie and Joanne. Grandmother of Christopher Thibert (Monique), great-grandmother to Natalia and Olivia. Daughter of the late Charles and Edith Armstrong. Special Aunt to Glen (Jane) McGarvey, Rick (late Betty) McGarvey, Marlaine Rankine (late Dave), late Andy McGarvey (Connie), Mark McGarvey (Krista). Fondly remembered by many great nieces and nephews. Sam was a little spitfire who lived life to the fullest. She had a very successful career with the federal government. Sam was loyal and dedicated to both her career and the people she loved. The world was a better place with her here. A special thank-you to Mary Lou Pomainville, a lifetime family friend who provided exceptional care. Gratitude to the staff at Elizabethe Bruyere for your kind and compassionate care, to the staff of Hospice Lennox and Addington for all the guidance and support, and to Kevin, the super Super. A family funeral service will be held at the Hannah Funeral Home in Napanee on Friday, June 26 with interment at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (by cheque or credit card) to Hospice Lennox and Addington or the OSPCA Lennox and Addington Animal Centre would be appreciated.
